This gorgeous Sterling Hill sphalerite
came from the Yuhasz collection. I bought it from the Franklin Mineral
Museum in the late 1990's.
There was a great deal of
blue in the original photos due to reflected visible light. I
retouched most of it away to give a better representation of the rock's
fluorescence.
Above photo taken in
longwave (350 nm). Some of the blue is fluorescence (cleiophane),
but some is reflected visible light from the UV lamp.
