| Manganapatite: fluorescent yellow to yellow-orange, SW I got this from a trade with Jared Woodward. I like this piece a lot. It is comprised of yellowish-fluorescing blebs of manganapatite in a matrix of feldspar (white under daylight), with some muscovite also. The camera used was a 35 mm: Shop-Rite 400 speed film; exposure time 2 seconds; f-stop 5.6; gamma correction adjusted downward a bit on the image because it was a bit overexposed. I will probably re-photograph this specimen to try getting a better shot. It's nice to specialize in Franklin and Sterling Hill minerals, but I wouldn't want to miss out on the great fluorescent minerals that occur from other locations.
